Friendly family atmosphere

Tucked away in the sleepy Berkshire village of Holyport, the White Hart is a charming traditional English pub oozing with character. The White Hart prides itself in being at the heart of the local community and focuses on offering delicious fresh food, great choice of real ale and a warm friendly welcome to all.

It’s a pub with two distinct halves; the lovely dark wood panelled lounge bar displaying pictures of Holyport from years gone by, the perfect place for relaxed dining. The Public bar; light and airy with wooden floors, television, occasional live music and gentle background music – something for everyone.

The cold winter nights finds a log fire blazing in both bars, the warm summer days and evening brings to life the front beer garden with its comfortable seating and boules pitch. For the families the separate enclosed children’s play garden is a little haven allowing them all to relax and enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. Ideally located just of the M4 ( Junction 8/9), 1/2 hour from Heathrow, 10 minutes from Windsor, Maidenhead and Legoland, it’s a great destination for a get together.

Real Ales

Great pride is taken in the fact that The White Hart is the only CAMRA and CASK MARQUE recognised pub in the village – we have worked hard to achieve this recognition and intend to retain it by ensuring the quality of Real Ale served is second to none. Our favourite Greene King IPA is always available, and in addition we have independent guest ales always on tap.

Fresh home cooked food

Our focus remains on offering wholesome, affordable, quality homemade pub classics. For those still being cautious, we will continue offering the same menu as a take-away.

with wild mushroom jelly and Melba toast

Italian vegetable lasagne

cooked fresh egg pasta layered between vegetable and tomato sauce and roasted vegetables, topped with béchamel sauce and mature Cheddar cheese served with a salad, garlic bread & Parmesan

 

Beef Casserole

diced beef and vegetables cooked slowly in vegetable gravy with new potatoes

Chicken jalfrezi

marinated chicken in a hot spicy tomato and chilli sauce made with a traditional spice blend with spiced basmati rice naan, poppadum, cucumber, raita, mango chutney and a tomato, onion & coriander salad garnished with lime & chopped coriander

Chocolate fudge cake

two layered chocolate sponge filled & covered with chocolate fudge icing served with vanilla flavour ice cream and chocolate flavour sauce
